Sourdough Workshop at Solstice Farm

Spend a summer evening at Solstice Farm learning the art of sourdough in a relaxed, hands on workshop surrounded by the beauty of the farm.

Whether you’re completely new to sourdough or have been wanting to build your confidence, this workshop will teach you the fundamentals to help you successfully bake at home. You’ll mix your own dough from scratch, learn proper feeding and care for your starter, practice stretch and folds, and leave with everything you need to continue your sourdough journey.

As your dough rests between steps, enjoy a guided tour of the farm, create a seasonal bouquet to take home, and relax with light bites and refreshing drinks.

You will take your prepped sourdough home after the workshop to bulk rise and be cooked the next day. You will also learn how to shape and prep your dough for baking.

Workshop Schedule

5:00 to 5:30 pm
Welcome and sourdough introduction

5:30 to 6:30 pm
Mix your dough and enjoy a guided farm tour

6:30 to 8:30 pm
Learn stretch and folds, ask questions, create your bouquet, and enjoy refreshments while your dough develops.

8:30 to 9:00 pm

Dough shaping and prep for baking.

Start your morning with a bottled oat milk latte from Corso Coffee before settling into an outdoor flow yoga class surrounded by our gardens, open fields, and mountain views. It’s the perfect way to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of summer at Solstice Farm.

While yoga is underway, little ones can enjoy our Play Cafe, complete with crafts, toys, and activities in a fun and welcoming space. Whether you’re coming on your own or bringing the whole family, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
